Country Hotel Mandra Edera

This small, 4-star hotel and riding-school is situated in the heart of Sardinia, surrounded by paddocks and century-old woods where horses can run free.

The hotel’s proprietors breed horses and offer riding lessons for children and adults of all skill levels. When you are not riding, you can make the most of the beautiful surroundings by taking part in a wealth of activities, including organised walks, hacks, jeep excursions and mountain bike rides.

After a busy day, relax in the hotel’s heated indoor swimming pool or indulge in an aesthetic massage, manicure or pedicure, before enjoying the rich and flavoursome cuisine in the restaurant.

The hotel’s tastefully furnished rooms and suites, have been recommended in the ‘Touring Club’ section ‘Italian Rooms’ in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.

We offer different types of activities: walks, hacks, excursions in s.u.v., mountain bikes.
We also offer massages, facial, hairdressing in our indoor heated swimming pool area.

Please note that the restaurant will be closed from 4 November till 24 December.
During this period it will only be possible to have a bed and breakfast accommodation.

Country Hotel is located in a wild and uncontaminated area. In the close vicinity you can admire 3 different complexes of Nuraghe (archaeological megalithic monuments of Sardinia), in Santa Cristina, Iloi and Losa.

The natural beauty of the protected oasis of Montiferru and S’Ale Porcus, and the wonderful beaches of the area around Oristano, such as Maimmone, Is Arutas, Is Arenas, Sa Rocca Tunda, Putzu Idu, sa Mesa Longa and S’Archittu are a must-see.

When looking for cultural spots, you can pay a visit to the museums of Tadasuni (with an accent on the history of music and musical instruments) and Santu Lussurgiu, the house where Antonio Gramsci lived, and the Thermae Romanae in Fondogianus.

By Car:
From Cagliari:
- Follow the S.S. 131 and, after Oristano, take the second exit to Abbasanta.
- Turn left to Santulussurgiu and follow directions to Dominariu Mandra Edera.

From Alghero – Sassari:
- Follow the S.S 129 to Sassari.
- Continue along the SS 131 and, after Macomer, exit at Abbasanta – Santulussurgiu.
- Going towards Santulussurgiu, follow directions to Dominariu Mandra Edera.

From Olbia:
- Follow the SS 125 in the direction of Nuoro.
- Continue along the SS 131 in the direction of Sassari and exit at Abbasanta – Santulussurgiu.
- Going towards Santulussurgiu, follow directions to Dominariu Mandra Edera.

Reception is open daily from 09:00 to 20:00. It is advisable to call in case of later arrival.
