Nestled within a 43-acre forest estate, the castle lies at the foot of the fabled Blue Stack Mountains near Lough Eske. The original castle has been transformed in to what will be Donegal’s first 5-star hotel and spa. Specially commissioned artwork adorns the walls throughout the hotel, bringing the historic building into the 21st century.

The pool and spa treatment building sits in the footprint of the original glass house which once stood in its place. An aqua green and gold mosaic colour theme flows through the pool and spa areas.

The stunning Spa Solis sits on the site of the original Glass House, within the castle gardens. It boasts many treatment rooms, including couples’ suites. The thermal suite has an ice fountain, a hot bench, a steam room, a sanarium, a sauna and tropical experience showers. There is a 12-metre infinity pool and the fitness centre offers cardiovascular and strength training options. Locker rooms with fresh towels are provided for all guests. The spa-treatment list offers face and body therapy, massages and beauty treatments, and a choice of special spa packages.

Measuring a total of 46 m² the luxurious rooms are finished to the highest standard, with bespoke oak furniture and deep-pile carpets throughout. They are decorated in warm, relaxing, neutral tones that reflect the peaceful views of the forest and lake. The rooms have king-size or twin beds (requests are subject to availability). Marble tiling is found throughout the en suite bathroom with built-in bath and separate shower.

Enjoy dining at its finest in Cedars Restaurant. Our executive chef presents extraordinary cuisine with new menus daily, offering the freshest locally produced ingredients. 2 floor-to-ceiling windows open the restaurant out onto a sunny terrace with seating for over 30 extra guests.
