Built by the Earl of Darnley in the 19th century, today the Old Darnley Lodge Hotel offers en suite rooms, live music and a well-stocked bar. Free parking is available.

The award-winning restaurant uses local and Irish ingredients to create a range of traditional and modern dishes. The lounge has open fires in winter and serves light meals.

Old Darnley Lodge is in the centre of Athboy, just 1 hour’s drive from Dublin International Airport and city centre. There are 12 golf courses in the county and the Irish Grand National takes place at the Navan Racecourse, 20 minutes’ drive away.
