Area information
This area provides an opportunity to explore the abundance of adventure and offers a comfortable base for guests to visit Iceland’s most impressive and active volcanic area.
Trout and char fishing in this pristine area are world class and relatively uncharted by guests from outside Iceland. Hiking through this region is an attractive option.
The hotel is easily reached by paved road all year round. The vastness and lack of human impact on the surrounding area makes it truly one of the last places in Europe where freedom, natural beauty and solitude are combined in a breathtakingly powerful experience.
