Each room comes equipped with two single beds, a TV and desk.

Most of the hotel’s 19 studio apartments are equipped with two single beds, a sofa bed, private bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, cable TV and cooking facilities.

The hotel restaurant focuses on providing excellent service and quality food and seats up to 100 people.

Fishing is one of the town’s most thriving industries so the menu focuses partly on the seafood catch of the day.

The Snaefellsnes peninsula has been tagged as a Mini Iceland, as it has a bit of everything: glaciers, fjords, cliffs, beaches, geothermal fields, jagged peaks and excellent bird-watching.

The glacier-topped strato-volcano Snaefellsjokull is renowned for its mystical powers and is one of the most famous sites in Iceland.

Snaefellsjokull National Park – Iceland's only National Park to extend to the seashore – covers an area of 170 km². Snaefellsjokull glacier towers majestically over the park, with trails of lava and signs of volcanic activity clearly visible on its flanks.

Snow-mobile tours to the top of the glacier depart from Arnarstapi.

Directions from Reykjavik:

Take road 1 to Borgarnes. On the way drive through the Hvalfjordur tunnel (toll gate).
Leave Borgarnes, take the second exit from the roundabout on to road 54.
Stay on road 54 until the junction of road 54 and road 574. (Utnesvegur)
Stay on road 54 to cross the Snaefellsnes peninsula over the Frodar-heidi then make a left (west). Turn on to road 54 until Olafsvik town.
At Olafsvik on the street Olafsbraut, pass the Olis gas station and the Hotel Olafsvik is on the left hand side.
