Hotel Highland is situated 64°12´00.82 N and 19°15´14.29 W, in the highland of Iceland, north east of the Mt. Hekla the volcano and is within walking distance of the Hrauneyjarfoss Power Plant and the falls and rapids of Hrauneyjarfoss.

The conference room seats up to 42 people in different arrangements and is equipped with all the modern facilities. From Hotel Highland it is only a short distance to many of the most beautiful and popular tourist attractions in the highlands including Landmannalaugar, Thjorsadalur, Mount Hekla, Sprengisandur, Veidivotn and Fjallabak.

The hotel has 2 suites, 2 family suites and 16 double rooms with twin beds and all rooms include bathroom facilities.

Adjacent to the hotel are four additional apartments and 17 double rooms offering sleeping bag accommodation with cooking facilities which is also part of The Hrauneyjar Highland Centre.

The in house restaurant has received wide acclaim and features gourmet cuisine using the purest and finest ingredients available and prepared by international chefs.

Directions from Reykjavik:
Take Highway Road one, which is the main ring road around Iceland, east through the mountains towards Selfoss. Pass through Selfoss and drive east towards Hella. 10 km east of Selfoss turn left onto road no. 30.

Continue 15 km following the signs for Sprengisandur and then turn right onto road no. 32. This road will take you 60 km to an intersection where you find road no. 26 (F26), follow road F26 and after 10 km you find the Highland Centre & Guesthouse Hrauneyjar on your right hand side and Hotel Highland 1.4 km further on your left.

Directions from Keflavik:
Take the main road towards Reykjavik and look for signs for road one on your right hand side. Upon reaching the junction (roundabout) take Highway Road one (main ring road around Iceland) east through the mountains towards Selfoss.
Pass through Selfoss and drive east towards Hella. 10 km east of Selfoss turn left onto road no. 30. Continue 15 km following the signs for Sprengisandur and then turn right onto road no. 32.
This road will take you 60 km to an intersection where you will find road no. 26 (F26), follow road F26 and after 10 km you find the Highland Centre & Guesthouse Hrauneyjar on your right hand side and Hotel Highland 1.4 km further on your left.

The Hotel is open from May 15 to September 15 for individuals and all year round for minimum booking of 10 rooms.
