Gateway to some of the regions greatest attractions, including the waterfalls Godafoss, Dettifoss, and the Asbyrgi canyon, Laugar is also close to some of Icelands greatest trout and salmon rivers, including the legendary Laxa in Adaldalur. Fosshotel Laugar is a summer hotel which use partly used as boarding school over the winter time.

From West (Akureyri Goafoss) Drive on road 1 to the small village Laugar and you will find the hotel on the left side of the road. Its the large white building with a red roof. From East (Lake Mvatn ) As you come to the small village Laugar the hotel is on your right hand side. Its the large white building with a red roof.
