The immediate environment of Hévíz offers a huge range of leisure activities for tourists. As a part of the Balaton Highland National Park and together with the Keszthely mountains with its unique natural treasures, the protected flora and fauna of the Small Balaton has been a nature reserve since the 1920s.

The Festetics Castle in Keszthely and the fortress of Sümeg attract visitors throughout the year because of their architectural, cultural and historical value.

Hévíz is a great place in every season. In springtime guests are welcomed by a town filled with blossoms. They are tempted to go for a nice walk in the woods around the lake or to take a hike up the hills of the unique Keszthely mountains and in the Balaton country. In summer guests can bathe in the lake where you also find a pool for kids. Due to its particular micro climate, the town is pleasant in autumn and winter as well.
