Area information

Egregy is a part of the town of Heviz in western Hungary, on the northern shore of Lake Balaton. The unique section of town includes mansion ruins from the Roman period, as well as the most popular local sight, a Catholic chapel built in the 13th century, which is surrounded by a historic cemetery. Visitors standing next to the chapel enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding area.

The neighbouring hill offers various fine restaurants serving Hungarian dishes and excellent local wines. The annual harvest festival takes place in this neighborhood.
