Area information
Ios is an island in the Cyclades complex, known for its lively atmosphere and attractive beaches. Ios hosts a number of restaurants, bars and clubs. It is also popular for relaxation and provides a nice alternative to the noisier tourist locations of Greece.
The Port of Ios is at the head of the Ormos harbor in the northwest. From there the bus or 15-minute walk up the steep donkey path takes you to the village, known as Chora. This is a white and very picturesque cycladic village, full of stairs and narrow walks, that makes it inaccessible for cars of any kind. The main walkway of Chora is full of restaurants, boutiques, bars and discotheques.
Of the most well known beaches on the Island, Mylopotas is a mere 5 minute drive from Chora. You will find the beach well organised and clean.

Please note that the pool is empty from the 10th of April to the 10th of May and from the 1st of October to the 10th of October.
