The beautiful town of Galaxidi has a strong nautical tradition, and walking through the town evokes images of 18th-19th century Galaxidi, when shipowners turned it into a powerful nautical and economical power.

In the church of St. Paraskevi, note the floor decorated with a zodiac circle, as well as the sundial outside the church. In your walks you will encounter numerous beautiful squares like Iroon and Hirolaka, where you will see a museum of traditional Greek items.
Three kilometres outside the town in an amazing landscape stands the Byzantine Monastery of the Transfiguration of Christ, built in 1250 by Michael Komninos.
