In the main building, the lounges are elegantly furnished and decorated with antiques throughout. There is also a TV room, an internet corner and a lounge for playing card games.

A large heated sea water swimming pool with a paddling pool for children lies in front of the main hotel. There are extended lawns and seaside sundecks along the shore where sunshades and deck chairs are provided free of charge for sunbathing. By the sandy beach, the Sea Sports Centre includes water-skiing and scuba diving tuitions. There are also canoes, pedaloes and windsurfing equipment, as well as a sailing yacht and a motorboat for hire.

Other sporting opportunities also include 2 artificial grass tennis courts with tuition available, a fitness room and table tennis. At our sister property only 500 metres away, there is a 9-hole par-3 golf course with golf academy and pro shop.

Europe’s first Six Senses Spa is also situated within the sister property and provides an unrivalled range of signature treatments that focus on health, beauty, pampering, stress reduction and recuperation. It uses pure, natural and environmentally friendly products. This luxuriously appointed spa spreads over 2,200 m², setting unique standards in spa design.

All accommodation in the main building face the sea and have a balcony or terrace. The bungalows, which also face the sea, include a private sea water swimming pool that can be heated during Spring and Autumn.

The Karavia Bar, situated in the main hotel, offers magnificent views over Mirabello Bay and Sitia Mountains, with soft piano music in the early evening.

There are 3 different restaurants with a variety of services:

A rich buffet breakfast and freshly prepared dishes are served at the Deck restaurant in the main hotel. Room service is also available.

Lunch is served daily at the Yacht Club restaurant by the sea. Dress code is casual, but swimming attire is not welcome. Refreshments and afternoon tea are also served at the Old Mill restaurant near the swimming pool.

A 5-course table d’hôte dinner menu is served daily at the Deck restaurant in the main hotel. An à la carte menu with local and international specialities is also available. On alternate evenings, à la carte dining is also available at the renowned Yacht Club, serving seafood specialities, whilst the fine dining Old Mill restaurant specialises in Mediterranean cuisine. A special theme event, The Fisherman’s Eve, takes place weekly at the Yacht Club. Elegant attire is expected in all restaurants. Guests are advised that t-shirts or short trousers should not be worn in the restaurants for dinner.

Room service is available 24 hours a day, offering a wide selection of food and beverages, served with courtesy and efficiency.

About 2 km from the hotel is the picturesque fishing village of Elounda with its small harbour surrounded by shops, taverns and cafes. On the islet of Spinalonga, opposite the small village of Plaka with its lovely pebble beaches, the Venetians built a seemingly impregnable castle. On the Spinalonga peninsula is the ancient town of Olous where snorkellers and divers can discover the submerged ruins of an ancient city destroyed by a cataclysmic earthquake.

Aghios Nikolaos, 9 km from Elounda village, is a lively small town with a harbour where yachts mingle with cruise boats. Connected to the harbour by a canal is the Voulismeni lagoon, a traditional shelter for small fishing vessels surrounded by lively cafes and taverns.

The 13th century Byzantine church of Kera stands at the entrance to the picturesque village of Kritsa, 20 km from Elounda. Its frescoes are considered to be the most beautiful in Crete.
