Area information
The hotel is only 40 metres from the magnificent sandy beach of Glaros and Agii Apostoli. Other sandy and clear beaches near us include Stalos, Agia Marina, Platanias and Maleme; all easily reached by local buses which stop just in front of the hotel.
The hotel organises excursions to:
- Samaria Gorge: one of the National Parks of Greece and the only one in Crete. It starts at an altitude of 1,227 metres at Xyloskalo (near the village of Omalos, 70 km from Hania) and ends after an 18 km walk to the beach at the village of Agia Roumeli on the south coast of Crete. From here, boats can take you to Sfakia, from where you can get a bus to Chania.
Elafonissi Lagoon - One of the prettiest beaches in Chania, famous for its pinkish sand and shallow clear waters. A visit to the beautiful cedar forest is also well worth a visit.
Mpalos Lagoon - One of the finest beaches in Greece, with white-pinkish sand and broken sea-shells. The water in the lagoon is very shallow and warm.
Gramvousa mini cruise - Visit the fabled pirate island of Gramvousa.
Souda boat trip - Explore Almirida beach and the caves of Drepano; a beautiful experience.
