Area information
Amoudara is located approximately 4 km from the Island's capital Heraklion and 7 km from the city's airport. The long, sandy beach of Amoudara is 6km long, it runs from Heraklion to Linoperamata and with so much space the beach never feels overcrowded, even in the peak summer season. Amoudara is a quiet resort, yet has an abundance of shops, bars & taverns to suit all tastes. There are several pharmacies and medical centres and the local bus service to Heraklion and the airport runs every 30 minutes from 6 am in the morning until late into the evening, the resort also has several car hire companies.

By Taxi (from the airport):
- A taxi rank is located immediately outside the arrivals gate, which always has taxis at hand whenever a flight has arrived.
By Bus (from the airport):
- Just in front of the airport you can catch the local bus which will take you directly to Amoudara for just over EUR 1.
- Take bus number 6 to Amoudara and get off at the Candia Maris Hotel bus stop.
