The Valis Resort is a perfect base to start your day. Located by the hillside of Mount Pelion you can choose to walk through the natural forests or go to the coast and relax on the sunny beach. The mountains are entirely forested, with beech, oak, maple and chestnut trees. Pelion is a tourist attraction throughout the year and the mountain includes trails and sidewalks, giving access to numerous sand or pebble beaches. Modern Pelion's twenty-four villages all retain traditional Pelion architecture and construction, which adds beauty to the natural surroundings.

One of the prolific places worth visiting is the chapel of Timiou Stavrou, with its beautifully carved wooden icons. From this location on the hill of Anemoutsa you can see the whole Pagasitic Gulf and the village of Agria.
