The nature conservation area at Feldsee, right at the foot of the famous Feldberg Mountain, is worth a visit, while the city of Frieburg is only half an hour’s drive away.
Several hiking trails begin from right outside the guest house, as does a cross-country ski track with direct connection to the Black Forest's cross-country ski network.

- From Freiburg or Donaueschingen, take the Regional Express train to Titisee station
- Exit the train station and take the 7300 bus towards Feldberg / Schopfheim / Basel
- Exit the bus at the Löffelschmiede stop
