This hotel enjoys a long and historic tradition, and an inn stood on this site as far back as the 17th century. It received a historical mention as a hostelry in the town archives of 1850.

The restaurant offers a distinctive ambience with its wood-panelled walls and ceilings. A separate room with a capacity for up to 20 people is also available for functions and conferences.

In nice weather the church belfry offers a wonderful view over the Hanseatic town, and far into the distance towards the coast of the islands of Rügen and Hiddensee.
