Haus am Zeiberberg

Our family run establishment, surrounded by fields and forests at the entrance to the Ahr Valley, has spacious, friendly en suite rooms, free wireless internet, free breakfast and free parking.

Since we moved here in 1990, we have offered a blend of my homeland Australian culture and German hospitality. The house was refurbished in 2006 and now all areas are non-smoking.

We have a children’s playground, gardens and terraces for sunbathing. There’s bike and car rental for you to get out and explore the countless hiking and cycle paths in the Ahr Valley and along the Rhine.

Other outdoor pursuits available nearby include fishing, golf, horse riding, sailing, canoeing, climbing, and much more. We also offer you discounted day tickets for our local spa and public swimming pool.

We may also offer an airport shuttle service upon request before arrival.

Our house is an alternative to over-booked and expensive accommodation during trade fairs in Cologne or Koblenz. We can accommodate up to 24 people or small groups with a minimum of 4.

All rooms and apartments have a private bathroom, satellite TV and complimentary wireless internet access. All rooms have a minibar and cooking facilities, except the Queensland room, which has tea and coffee making facilities and a toaster.

It is possible to book the Queensland room as a family suite with two adjoining separate single rooms, which have the same facilities as the Queensland room, and the use of a bathroom through a separate entrance.

Short stays of less than a week have breakfast included in the rate. From 7 days onwards, breakfast is not included but may be requested. We also offer a Brötchen Service for weekly guests. All of our rooms and apartments have a minibar and tea and coffee making facilities.

You may prepare meals in your own apartment or Sinzig is only 2 km away. Here, you can choose between German, Greek, Chinese, Italian Croatian, and French cuisine. There is a Restaurant open in Westum on Saturday and Sunday; reservations can be made in advance prior to your arrival if required.

The Ahr Valley is world famous for its picturesque landscape and, of course, its red wine. Our house is conveniently located near Bonn, Köln and Koblenz. We are only 5 minutes from the A61 but our house is situated in a very peaceful area. We are also only half an hour away from the Nürburgring.

There are guided tours, in English and German, such as Magic Week to the Volcanic Eifel and Red Wine Valley. Different tours will be offered depending on the season.

How to find us from the highway A61

Exit Highway 61 at Dreieck Sinzig, and again at Sinzig/Remagen. Turn right when you come to the T Junction , the first village is Loehndorf, the second is Westum. Turn right at Drosselweg in Westum, drive to the end and cross over the street and drive between the playground and the kindergarden, make a right turn and the next turn left. You drive direct to Haus am Zeiberberg.
B9 from Koblenz
Turn into Sinzig in the direction Koenigsfeld on the Rhineallestrasse, drive through the small traffic lights, after 800 metres turn right into Harbachstrasse, and drive to the traffic lights at the top of the hill, turn left into Westumer Str., direction Westum, at the Church in Westum, a left turn, a 90 degree turn right at the RWE bakery, into Krechelheimer Street, keep left of the school but straight ahead out of town, make a left turn to Haus am Zeiberberg.
B9 from Bonn
Second exit from B9 into Sinzig and then as above from the Koblenz directions.

Guests who travel by train take the train to Sinzig, then with the Taxi to Westum, or by arrangement, we can meet you.

All of our rooms, including the breakfast room, are now non-smoking only. Smoking is only permitted on the terrace.
