Lam is an ideal base for easy strolls, longer hikes and mountain tours. There is a panoramic swimming pool which is open all year round. Visit the fairytale castle, Baroque church of St. Ulrich, the Maria Hilf pilgrimage church, the zoo and the oldest mine in Europe.

- 1 hour and 40 minutes from Nuremberg, via Amberg and Bad Kötzting.
- 1 hour and 30 minutes from Munich, via Deggendorf, Ruhmansfelden and Arnbruck.
- 1 hour and 30 minutes from Passau via Zwiesel and Großer Arber.
- 2 hours from Prague, via the border crossing at Furth im Wald and then Neukirchen.

Guests receive a card which includes discounted entry to many attractions in the Bavarian Forest, as well as free use of public transport in the region. Guests also receive one free ticket to the Osserbad Aqua Park in Lam.
