This historic, 3-star hotel lies in the picturesque village of Kobern-Gondorf, along the River Moselle. It is situated one kilometre from the station and a 13-minute train journey from Koblenz.

The cosy rooms and apartments in the 400-year-old main building of Hotel Simonis are individually decorated and include a minibar and a flat-screen TV.

The timber-framed building next door dates from 1321 and houses some of the spacious suites and quadruple family rooms offered by the hotel.

Guests are welcome to keep in touch via free Wi-Fi internet access, available in the public areas of the Simonis.

The hotel offers a bike-rental service, so you can discover the beautiful Moselle countryside at your own pace.

The restaurant serves traditional German cuisine and fine local wines, which you can enjoy by the cosy fireplace in winter.

An authentic framework house has always belonged to the hotel and is located next to it. It is the oldest timberwood framework house in Germany, since it dates back to the year 1321.
In the 1980s the house was renovated and now holds suites of 40 sqm and quadruple rooms of 45 sqm, ideal for families. The rooms offer all modern comfort to assure a pleasant stay at our hotel. Originally called "the Abteihof" (abbey courtyard), the hotel nowadays features a terrace with that name. It is the ideal location for enjoying a cold beer or a light snack.

The hotel has comfortably and individually decorated single, double, triple and quadruple rooms. They are located on the first and 2nd floor of this 400-year old hotel. There is no lift in the hotel, but this is to preserve the authenticity of the old building, which is the oldest framework house in Germany.

Hotel Simonis features an a la carte restaurant, which has been known for its' excellence in the Lower Mosel area. Here you can enjoy typical German cuisine. Additionally, we serve snacks and light meals on the terrace, which is called "Abteihof", accessible also for non-hotel guests.
The wine bar is a cosy little bar where the experiences of the day are discussed while enjoying a good glass of Riesling wine.

At a distance of 55 km from Frankfurt Hahn airport we are close to the highway and easily accessible by train, motorbike or car. The Moselle river separates two protected nature reserves: Hunsrück and Eifel. It is a breathtaking setting where the river finds its way through the area, which is known for its many castles and manors.

Kobern Gondorf is located 7 km south of Koblenz on the river Moselle. The A 61 from the Dutch border of Venlo goes past Cologne to Koblenz. Exit 39 is the "Koblenzer Kreuz" to motorway A 48 towards Trier. Take that exit and then take the first exit (exit 8) to Kobern Gondorf.
Down the exit you turn left and follow the signs for Kobern Gondorf. Within 5 to 7 minutes you will reach the village. Follow the road until the train tracks just before the river and turn left before the tracks. You will see the signs ¨Historischer Marktplatz¨ and ¨Hotel Simonis¨. Please beware that there are 2 roads to the left, it is the forelast. After about 200 m on your left you will see Hotel Simonis just before reaching the market place on the corner.

Please note that in order to preserve the authenticity of the building, there is no lift to the rooms.
