Boppard is one of the most charming cities in the Middle Rhine Valley and lies on the banks of the river's largest bend. The town’s long, rich history is evident at every turn: a Roman church, a Gothic church, beautiful timber-framed houses, old monasteries, courts of nobility, remains of the Medieval city wall, and the Kurtrierisch Castle (home to the municipal museum with a remarkable collection of Thonet furniture). Especially noteworthy are the remains of a 4th-Century Roman fort, the best-preserved Roman fortifications in Germany.

Further attractions include boat trips, a lift to a viewpoint overlooking the town and the Rhine Valley, the Hunsrückbahn mountain railway (one of the steepest stretches of railway in Germany), and a 200-kilometre network of hiking trails. By taking a walk along the wine information trail you can get to know the various grapes of the "Bopparder Hamm" vineyards.

When driving from the Frankfurt International Airport:
Whether your rental car agency is in terminal 1 or 2, you may use the free Skyway shuttle for transportation between them both. The shuttle departs every few minutes. When leaving the airport take the Autobahn 3 (A3) towards Wiesbaden, Köln

In approx. 15 km take the A66 towards Wiesbaden.
In approx. 12 km take the A643 towards Mainz.
In approx. 10 km take the A60 towards Bingen and exit at Bingen.
Now take the Bundestraße 9 (B9) towards St. Goar and continue another 14 km from there to Boppard.

Directions from the Hahn Airport:
When departing the airport take highway
B50 and then 327 towards Koblenz passing through Kastellaun; bypassing Emmelshausen and further on to Boppard-Buchholz. Here at the beginning of town, you will notice the connection to the Autobahn 61. Continuing 350 yards further, you must turn right on to road L209, which leads into Boppard. from the Autobahn A 61:
After exiting the autobahn take a right at the first street (B327) (U5). Proceed 350 meters; turn right again (L209). Follow this street down into the center of town. You will drive parallel to the train tracks for approx. 600 meters. Just 50 meters past the parking deck the street will curve to the left passing under the railroad bridge. Continue straight ahead until you reach the river. Turn left (into the Rheinallee). Our hotel is located in approx. 700 meters.

from the south on the Bundesstraße B9:
Take the very first street to the right (Mainzer Strasse). After approx. 200 meters, turn right at the police station (Michael-Bach-Strasse). Turn left into the Rheinallee at the end of the street. Our hotel is located in approx. 700 meters.

from the north on the Bundesstraße B9:
Remain on the B9 through Boppard until the southern end of the city, where you must turn left (into Mainzer Straße) continually following the signs "Autofähre" (car ferry). After approx. 200 meters, turn right at the police station (Michael-Bach-Strasse). Turn left into the Rheinallee at the end of the street. Our hotel is located in approx. 700 meters.

Arrivals after 21:00 are only possible if requested in advance.

Guests are able to unload their cars for a short time outside the hotel. Public parking is located opposite the hotel for an extra fee, and parking tickets can be purchased at the machine or at the hotel reception.
