Lying just a short walk away from the Ostbahnhof railway station, it provides you with easy access to the rest of Germany. Step back in time to experience a traditional East German establishment. The hostel has been especially designed to give you a taste of how life really was under the former communist East German regime. Situated in the hip Friedrichshain district, it offers a unique insight due to its original East German accessories and furniture. It also boasts an attractive garden with seating, which is particularly popular in the summertime when barbecues are held each Saturday.

Travel information

By Train (from Berlin train station):
- Take the S-Bahn towards the east until you get to the east train station (Ostbahnhof)
- Exit the train station towards Erich-Steinfurth-Strasse / Strasse der Pariser Kommune.
- You will see a shop on the right and a building with 6 floors on the left.
- Go around this building to find entrance number 5; this is the hostel.

Cancellation Policy:   Cancellation Policy: If cancelled or modified up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled or modified later, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.
In case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All older children or adults are charged EUR 20.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.
There is no capacity for cots in the room.

Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Internet: Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in public areas and is free of charge.

Meal Plan: Breakfast costs EUR 3.50 per person.

Parking: Free private parking is possible on site.
