The Langfigtal Nature Reserve holds rare flora and fauna while the ruine Are Castle (circa 1100), Kreuzberg Castle (14th C.) and the Romanesque Church (circa 1150) all bear witness to over 1.000 years of history.

Follow Motorway A 61 or A 565 to the intercetion Meckenheim. Exit Altenahr (B 257). Follow the roas for 8 km. Exit Altenahr (left). At the T-junction turn right. After the bridge; the hotel is the 1st house of the left side.
