Area information
The local history museum Hüsli (made famous in the German TV series Schwarzwald-Klinik) is worth a visit. Alternatively, go further afield to Zurich, Basel, Luzern, Freiburg, Lake Constance, the Feldberg mountain, or the nearby lakes Schluchsee and Titisee.
Travel information
When arriving from the A5 motorway, take the exit Bad Kronzingen. Drive along this road over the towns Staufen and Münstertal. At Wiedener Eck, turn right, direction Belchen, and after about 5 km, at the next crossing, take the exit on the right to Belchen, which lies about 500 metres down this road.
When arriving from the A81 motorway, at the exit Dreieck Bad Dürrheim, take the exit Donauschingen (route B31). Drive over Neustadt/Titisee and at Titisee turn onto the B317, direction Feldberg. Drive over Feldberg, then Todtnau and just before Schönau follow the sign for “Belchengondel”, then on over Aitern, Holzinshaus and on to Belchen.
