Hotel Krapi

The old brick cowshed was first build in 1917 and then renovated in to a hotel 70 years later, the grand opening was at spring 1987.

Hotel Krapi has double rooms, one single room and two superior rooms called “Krapiroom”.

Next to the reception is a small lounge bar offering various Finnish beers and other drinks.

A typical Finnish sauna is included in to the room rate. The sauna is located at the hotel`s first floor and it can be booked in to hotel guests private disposal without any extra fee.

Wireless Internet connection is available and it is free of charge. There is also a guest computer available at the reception.

Buffet breakfast is always included in the room rate and depending on the day it is served either at the hotel´s lobby bar or at restaurant Krapihovi.

All the rooms are smoke free and have parquet floors.
One room is especially designed for disabled quests.

Pets are welcome, though they should be mentioned when making the reservation.

All the food in the restaurant Krapi is prepared from fresh Finnish ingredients. The food is distinctly Finnish and highly appreciated by the culinary specialists.

During the winter time Krapi offers two different restaurants.
Restaurant Krapihovi serving traditional Finnish food and restaurant Ateljeeri, which is a bit more relaxed, offering tastes also around the world.

Traditional Finnish buffet lunch is served ever day at restaurant Krapihovi where the Finnish delicacies are gathered from the land, the sea and the forest!

During the summer from May day until the end of August the heart of Krapi park serves as the summer restaurant Aittaterassi. People around the neighbourhood gather together under the century old trees to enjoy a drink, a cup of coffee or a light snack.

Krapi is located just 15 kilometres from the Helsinki-Vantaa international airport and 30 kilometres from Helsinki city centre. The distance to Hyrylä, centre of Tuusula, is 2 kilometres.

From Krapi begins 4 kilometres long Tuusulan Rantatie, a museum road filled with artist homes and museums. For example the painter Pekka Halonen`s atelier Halosenniemi and the last home of Finnish national writer Aleksis Kivi can be found by this road. The Finnish national composer Jean Sibelius lived just about 5 kilometres away from Krapi. His summer home Ainola is a popular tourist attraction.

Krapi has also a small day spa, Spa Bellisima Alba offering a wide variety of pampering and treatments! Flamingo Spa with various attractions is located 10 kilometres from Krapi.

On weekdays the reception is open until 24:00, on Saturdays until 22:00 and on Sundays until 16:00.
