The design of the hotel has influences from all the many art galleries which are situated withing walking distance from it. Each room has selected works by an Italian photographer Daniele Pelati, showing glimpses of the streets aruond the hotel, unique details of the Punavuori district.

Close proximity to the main harbour and shipyard contributes to Punavuori’s characteristic cultural overtone and even today Punavuori offers many trendy small shops and bars, nightclubs and restaurants.

Known as Helsinki’s Soho, Punavuori also has a colourful history. During the 1800s the district had a seedy reputation and most of the brothels and beer houses were situated here.

Travel information

From Central railway station Helsinki:
take a tram 3T or 6 from Mannerheimintie till South. Jump off at the stop Fredrinkinkatu. Walk via Bulevardi straight ahead (about 100m) and turn left to Albertinkatu. The hotel is about 30m ahead.
From Helsinki-Vantaa airport:
Take a bus to Helsinki city centre and take off at the last bus stop. Follow the same instructions as above.
