A unique attraction of Tábor is the complex of underground spaces and passages dating from to the 15th century. The passages under the Žižka square are accessible for visitors (Entrance via the Museum of Hussitism).
Tourists are also attracted by the pilgrimage church of Klokoty which can be seen from the Kotnov tower, which can be compared with the most precious European Baroque buildings.
Tábor is also a great base for trips to Southern Bohemia. Visit Chýnov, famous for its Chýnov cave, the town of Bechyně and the castle ruins of Choustník or Dobronice. The near chateaux of Orlík, Hluboká and Červená Lhota are worth visiting as well. At the confluence of the Vltava and Otava rivers, swimming and a visit to the Gothic castle of Zvíkov can be combined.
