This independently-owned hotel in the well-preserved area of Zizkov, close to the centre of the city, is a great base for exploring Prague.

The hotel is just a short walk from the centre of Prague and all of its many attractions, including Wenceslas Square and the Old Town. The hotel also has fantastic transport links for exploring Prague and the surrounding area, it is close to Prague’s main train station and there is a tram stop in front of the hotel, with the very heart of the city just 5 minutes away by tram.

Zizkov is a part of Prague with a unique bohemian atmosphere and is said to have the highest number of pubs per person of any city district in Europe.

The hotel's 24-hour reception desk offers refreshments, books tours and other tickets and offers currency exchange and any kind of assistance.

The breakfast room has recently been refurbished. The hotel offers free internet access in a small on-site internet café. There is a reading room and also a luggage room. Tickets for public transport are available.

Airport transfers can be arranged for up to 8 people - costs vary depending on the number of passengers. For more information, please contact the hotel after making your reservation.

Please note that the hotel is unfortunately not accessible for disabled guests. The hotel is not wheelchair friendly and there are no adapted bathrooms.

The hotel has 34 rooms. There are 2 types of apartments available: family apartments with 2 rooms and a kitchen and business apartments with one bedroom, a PC and a kitchen.

There is a common breakfast room for the Golden City hotel and Residence Tabor (an annex to the Golden City hotel) across the street.

Please note, that new paid parking zones have been introduced in the surroundings of the hotel. You can use our secure garage at an additional cost or you can borrow a parking card, also at an additional cost.

From the airport by public transport :
- Bus no. 119 to its last stop at Dejvicka metro station.
- Get off and take tram no. 26. After passing the river and the main train station (Hlavni nadrazi), get off at the Lipanska stop.
This journey takes approx 55 minutes (ticket valid for 70 minutes).

From the airport by shuttle bus:
- Take a minibus of the Cedaz company that regularly runs between the airport and Namesti Republiky (Republic Square).
- From here, take tram no. 5 up to the Lipanska stop.

The hotel also offers an airport transfer service at an additional cost.

Please be very careful when taking a taxi in Prague. It may cause troubles because some taxi drivers try to overcharge foreign visitors.

By public transport from the main train station (Hlavni Nadrazi):
- After exiting the hall turn right, walk across the park and take any tram (no. 5, 9 or 26) up to the Lipanska stop (second stop).
Tram ride is approx. 5 minutes (you need a one way ticket).

By public transport from Nadrazi Holesovice train station:
- Take tram no. 5.
- You cross the Vltava river and continue to Republic Square and main train station.
- Get off at the Lipanska stop.
Tram ride takes approx 20 minutes and you will need a ticket (70 minutes validity).

Regulations for the hotel's garage:
- Cars higher than 185 cm or cars running on LPG are not allowed to access the garage.
- Due to fire regulations you have to leave your car key at the reception (also for necessary manipulation with your car).
- Accessories must be taken off upon the receptionist's request
- Payment for parking is due upon arrival.
