The impressive Grandhotel Pupp Karlovy Vary is located in the centre of the spa area. It offers you spacious rooms, fine cuisine and an exclusive spa area.

Founded in 1701 by Johann Georg Pupp, who originally was a confectioner, the Grandhotel Pupp already accommodated such famous guests like Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Johann Sebastian Bach and Richard Wagner.

You can choose from 4- and 5-star rooms, all featuring elegant furniture and satellite TVs. The 5-star deluxe rooms offer additional space, a large bed and an LCD TV.

A wide range of beauty and wellness treatments is available in the spa, which also features various saunas, steam baths and hot tubs.

Fine Bohemian specialities and international cuisine is served in the various restaurants. Two bars invite you to relax or enjoy the evening entertainment.

The first of “GRANDHOTEL PUPP” complex of buildings is the so-called Saxony Hall, which was built by the order of the then Lord Mayor Deiml in 1701. In doing so, the Mayor of Deiml laid out the base outline for the later hotel constructions. In the year 1760 a native of Veltrusy Jan Jiří Pop came to Carlsbad, who previously worked as a confectioner to Count Rudolf Chotek. Here, he took a job with the local confectioner Mitterbach. In 1775, he marries Mitterbach’s daughter Františka who bought one third of the Czech Hall from the widow of Mayor Becher. In the following year, Františka bought the second third and in 1776, her husband, who by this time already called himself "Johann Georg Pupp", bought the last third. In the same year, he also started his own business. Throughout the 19th century, the business grew significantly and in 1890, the Pupp family, now represented by the brothers Anthony, Julius and Heinrich, achieved the ownership of the original Saxony Hall. In this year the family also formed a joint stock company.
Six years later the business is handed over to the Viennese architects Fellner and Helmer in order to transform the “Etablissement Pupp”. The collection of individual buildings was eventually, in 1907, incorporated in neo-baroque “GRANDHOTEL PUPP”.
Years 1922-23 were the climax of construction and modernization of the entire hotel. Every room has its own bathroom with warm and cold water. Yet the biggest achievement was before the Second World War, when the Pupp family was finally able to buy the last of the required buildings, the so-called House of God’s Eye - today “CAFE PUPP”.
In 1951, the hotel was renamed to "Grandhotel Moscow", but in year 1989 returned back to its tradition and its original name.

The whole hotel is accessible for wheel chairs. We also have 1 single room and 2 double rooms which are specially equipped!

We offer accommodation in 111 deluxe rooms - 5-star category and 117 first class rooms which are 4-star category. History has walked through every one; have a look at the rooms in which countless political figures and movie stars have stayed such as Whoopi Goldberg, Gregory Peck and Michael Douglas.

Buffet breakfast will be served in the Mirror Hall between 7 and 10 am during weekdays and between 7 and 11 am on weekends.

GRAND RESTAURANT PUPP:
Luxury hotel restaurant in neoclassical architecture, which offers Czech and international cuisine. It has a capacity of 58 seats and it is open daily 12 a.m – 3 p.m, 6 – 10 p.m.
It is the most luxurious restaurant in the hotel. Its comfortable atmosphere is accompanied by cozy eating corners inviting you to sit down and try the meals prepared by a professional team of chefs and waiters.

CLUB MALÁ DVORANA:
A unique bar with a nineteenth century atmosphere, situated in the oldest part of the hotel. It offers a wide choice of gourmet specialities. It has a capacity of 70 seats and is open daily from 11am to 11pm.

CAFE PUPP:
It is the place where the famous composer Ludwig Van Beethoven resided in 1812, at the time when it still was a spa-house. The Cafe offers many sweet specialities - cakes, hot desserts, toasts, milk shakes, etc. It has a capacity of 60 seats and is open daily from 9am to 8pm.

BECHER'S BAR:
The most beautiful night bar in Carlsbad. Classic (old) English style. Every day live jazz or swing music. Assortment of many gourmet specialities

It is a wonderful exact copy of a classical old London bar from the 1920’s. Besides the possibility of choosing any kind of food from practically all of the world culinary specialties, the Bar will also prepare any coctail for you from a choice of more than 100 mixed drinks.
