Stratos House

This traditional stone-built family house is situated near the centre of the village, close to Kalavassos's main square, filled with individual restaurants and coffee shops.

Maintaining it’s original features, this 300 year old building can be found across the stone-paved square, towards the narrow streets. Inside the beautiful courtyard, with it’s two traditional arches, you will find an antique, large, clay vessel and the three doors that lead to the different apartments.

During your stay, the house offers you the following facilities: Table games, picturesque flowered garden; 2 vine-covered verandas; a bottle of local wine, a bottle of mineral water and a fruit basket/sweets upon arrival. You can pick your own fruit in the orange orchard and Mrs Panayiota can also offer you some of her traditional cooking specialities.

Comfortable apartment-rooms each one with its own: ceiling fans; first-aid kit; information about Cyprus; sewing kit; bathrobes and table games.

Every room can accommodate up to 3 or 4 persons, and has been decorated using antique furniture and handmade materials from Cyprus.

The apartments feature their own kitchen area and are self-catering.

During your stay you can explore the local countryside on bike, hiking, cyckling, horseriding or simply relax by the private swimming pool before enjoying a meal under the arches, or enjoying the view of the mountains from one of the two vine-covered verandas.

Alternatively, you can visit the local attractions, including: The orange orchard of Strato’s family, where you can pick your own oranges; Kalavassos water dam and the famous old mine; the Camel park in Mazotos; the archaelogical settlements of the Neolithic period, such as Tenta and Choirokitia, from 9000 B.C. and; Governor’s Beach, ideal for swimming and sunbathing.

By car:

From Larnaca Airport:
- Take the motorway and follow the signs to Limassol.
- After about 30 minutes drive you will find signs towards Kalavasos.
- Once you turn off the motorway, you will find a crossroad, turn left.
- Once you have passed the petrol station and the bridge, turn left again.
- Follow the road on the right-hand side that takes you to Kalavasos.
- Be careful not to miss the sign to Kalavasos otherwise you will end up on the motorway again.

From Paphos Airport:
- After you leave the airport, take the motorway, following signs towards Larnaca-Nicosia.
- It takes about an hour to reach Kalavasos, where you exit towards.
- Go over the roundabouts through Limassol and keep following the signs for Larnaca-Nicosia.
- Exit at junction 15 towards Kalavasos, and turn left.
