Our 180 new Istrian Villas offer exactly that luxury and so much more. Nestled within lush vegetation and a just few steps from what is often described as Croatia’s most beautiful lagoon, some villas sit literally on the water’s edge.

Each villa is fresh, bright and colourful in design, with tiled floors and light and thin, quality linen for your comfort during the balmier months.

Naturally, being so close to the sea, we offer countless water sports from snorkelling to windsurfing. The list goes on as you get closer to the resort where tennis, horse riding, massage and a casino are available.

From here, there is a beautiful promenade walk along the waterfront to the centre of Umag.

Our new swimming pool complex, Aqua Chill Out, has all sorts of fun water features for the whole family. There are also deck chairs on which you can sunbathe by the pool and our Sol Meliá team organise activities and entertainment for children and adults, day and night.

The new beach, promenade and sun terrace are peaceful spots where guests of the Istrian Villas can relax and rejuvenate in one of the available sun loungers.

We serve high quality à la carte cuisine in our newly built restaurant, Mare e Monti. This stylish and modern establishment has warm, dark wood floorboards and contemporary lighting which utter a certain tasteful class.

The restaurant's outdoor terrace sits virtually on the beach; your eveing meal will be accompanied by the peaceful sound of water lapping at the shore while the sun sinks below the horizon.

We are open for lunch between 12:00 and 15:00 then in the evening from 19:00 to 22:00.

Umag is a small, picturesque Mediterranean harbour town; known as Croatia’s gate to Europe, it is the first tourist destination on arrival to the north Adriatic coast.

Its beautiful bay has one of the most prestigious ACI marinas and has been awarded with the Blue Flag. Around 80 berths occupy the marina with a depth of 80 to 110 cm.

Umag is also the site of the famous international ATP tennis tournament, which has been successfully hosted here since 1990. Within the town, you will find a post office, cash machine, various shops, a supermarket and a first-aid station.

- At the 1st set of traffic lights in Umag, turn right and follow the signs for Sol Stella Maris resort.
- It is only a few minutes away and you can see it from the street, on your left hand side.
