Guest House Mukinja is located in the center of the National Park Plitvice Lakes! Just 10 minutes walking from the lakes, so if you come by car, you don't need it while you are here. We are offering you high quality accommodation with delicious food, cuisine locale, relaxation in the Finnish sauna and medicine massage. While eating you can enjoy the cosy atmosphere of our dining room, which has enough space for any occasion. There you can watch TV, listen to the music, play board games, socialize, dance and have fun.

All the rooms have recently been refurbished so that each has its own bathroom.

Each of the 4-bed rooms has approximately 45 square meters and a balcony with a view. The beds are visually detached two by two.

For breakfast you will be served:

- Dalmatian prosciutto
- home-made cheese
- Basa (local dairy specialty)
- home-made yogurt
- polenta (maize porridge)
- cornflakes
- butter, honey, marmalade
- bread
- beverages: tea, coffee, milk, chocolate

For dinner you will have the following choice:

Hors d'oeuvre: Dalmatian prosciutto, home-made cheese, pilchard and anchovy fillets, olives, salads

You can also taste our home-made plumb brandy (Croatian šljivovica), an aperitif that is traditionally on the house.

Plitvice Lakes count among Europe's most beautiful national parks. They are situated in the mountainous region of Lika, Croatia. A total of 16 lakes lying at different altitudes are separated by travertine barriers and linked by foamy waterfalls and cascades. Their creation is a scientific phenomenon. As the geological processes continue today the lakes and waterfalls are continually changing.
The beauty of the lakes and caves, forests and meadows, creeks, rivers and cascades as well as a rich flora and fauna are a magnet for tourists from around the world.

Attractions: rafting, skiing, tobogganing, cycling, hunting, fishing.

You can get there either from Zagreb or from the Adriatic coast along D-1 motorway.

Arriving from Zagreb
- Once you get to Plitvicka Jezera drive past Entrance 1 (Jezero Hotel) and Entrance 2 (Bellevue and Plitvice Hotels). After another 1 km, at the village of Plitvicka Jezera turn right just past the small bus stop.
- Continue driving 50 metres to the Y-intersection near the village map.
- Turn right at Y, proceed driving for 150 metres past first turning to left, drive another 100 metres and take that turning to left just in front of the old house which was the post office before. After another 50 metres you will reach the Guesthouse Mukinja which will be on your left side.

The house is located in a quiet area and is surrounded by lush greenery. It is far enough from the motorway and closest to the lakes.

Arriving from the Adriatic
15 km after the town of Korenica and Borje Motel you will get to Jezerce. Keep driving for another mile. Turn left where there is the sign «Plitvicka Jezera». Once you have entered the village follow the map or the instructions above.
