Hotel Villas Kolocep are owned by a non-profit foundation named Otok znanja – the Isle of Knowledge, whose goal is to preserve the natural beauty of the island and revitalize its economy through hosting educational and cultural seminars.

The hotel, the restaurant areas, the swimming pool and the beach provide free access to a wireless network as well as to the 3G telephone network, which covers the entire island.

Each of the air-conditioned rooms features a balcony or a terrace, multimedia equipment including a personal computer, an LCD satellite TV, high-speed internet access and a video library of more than 100 films on demand.

Sample a hearty breakfast buffet with an organic food corner, cold and hot dishes and fruit juices. Varied buffet dishes for lunch and dinner are mostly based on local Dalmatian cuisine, always including a soup, fresh salad, fish and fruit. If you prefer, there is also a vegetarian menu offered. Taste the wide selection of beverages with regional and imported spirits and liqueurs, served at the terrace bar and the restaurant.

The romantic à la carte Kalamota Restaurant is located at the end of the bay and it can be accessed from the sea. Guests can taste delicacies of traditional Mediterranean cuisine or enjoy innovative dishes created by the chef.

Kolocep has more than 250 sunny days a year. Since ancient times, it has been known as an island of fishermen and coral-divers. Kolocep’s coastline is full of numerous hidden bays. The famous Blue Cave can be accessed by swimming on the south side of the island from one of these hidden bays. Jogging/biking trails are situated alongside the bay and throughout the island, perfect for mountain bike rides with some rough terrain trails.

Kolocep lies at a distance of 1 km from the closest mainland. The island can be reached by the Jadrolinija shipping company. It is a 20-minute boat ride from Dubrovnik to Kolocep by regular service. There are no cars on the island.
