The town of Hvar is the largest settlement on the island of the same name. Hvar has been built through time by notable domestic and foreign architects. Yet, the presentation of Hvar is not defined by its monuments only. It is also recognised for its harbour spreading towards the sea and the islands called Pakleni Otoci, its hotels, apartments, its unmatched climate having healing properties, its restaurants and cafes, all reflecting the glossy spirit of an exquisite resort area for almost a century and a half.

Hvar proudly offers the oldest municipal theatre in Europe, has been celebrated in verse and has been painted by artists. However, Hvar itself is the best narrator of its own story.

From the port of Hvar:
- As you get off the ferry, turn right and walk a little bit along the coast.
- Then take the first stairs. At the top of the stairs, turn right again.
- As you pass the Narodna Skola, take the path on your left.
- When you reach a road with car traffic, cross the road and follow the path leading to the villa.

From Hvar Bus Station:
- Walk into the narrow, stone-paved street next to the Pizzeria Alviz.
- At the end of the street, turn right and walk uphill.
- When you reach the Barcot Apartments building, turn right again.
- Go round the building and take the stairs in the middle of a block of flats on your right.
- Villa Sandra is on the streets at the end of these stairs.
