Hotel Ichera

Hotel Ichera is a cosy Bed and Breakfast with five double rooms, a bistro that can accommodate twenty people, serving traditional Bulgarian cuisine, a wide selection of wines, an outdoor patio and a barbecue.

During the summer season we have an outdoor pool and we offer other outdoor activities such as biking, picnics along the riverside, day trips to the “Blue Stones” national park as well as to historical villages Jeravna, Medven and Katunishte, located within 20km of Ichera.
In the end of 2006, Hotel Ichera was the only hotel in the region to win the “Authentic Bulgaria” award for quality sponsored by USAID, along with a “Rose” for outstanding design and atmosphere.

Situated in a village populated by around 165, the Hotel Ichera gives a rare opportunity to discover authentic rural Bulgaria.

Like all buildings in the tiny village of Ichera, the hotel is constructed in the traditional wood style. With its unique atmosphere, Hotel Ichera offers you the charm of a traditional setting and the luxury of modern tourism.

There are 5 double rooms decorated in a warm and elegant style.
Each room features a fireplace, a comfortable bed with fine linens and an additional fold-out chair-bed for children.

3 of the rooms have shower cabins, whilst 2 feature a bath.

The hotel is located in the center of Ichera village – a historical village that existed before the creation of Bulgaria in the year 681.

Together with Jeravna, Kotel, Elena, and Sliven, the village is one of the few places that have preserved the unique revolutionary spirit of ancient Bulgaria. Guests of the area have the opportunity to enjoy not only the natural beauty of the region but its historical richness as well. There are a few traditional hotels in the region as well as an old monastery.

In addition to the obvious hiking opportunities, many of the surrounding mountain roads are ideal for cycling. Ichera is also within an hour's drive of Jeravna, Medven, Karandila and Daulite, which all offer winter skiing.

Alternatively, you will also be within reach of picturesque locations such as Drianovo (57 km), Bojenci (85 km) or Gabrovo (91 km).

By car:
Ichera Village is located 25km from Sliven, a major city with flourishing textile and wine industries; 35km from the Sofia-Burgas Highway (E80); 12km from Route E772 connecting Ruse and Yambol; 250km from Varna and 120km from Burgas.

We offer transport to our guests to and from major cities (Vehicles: Jeep Grand Cherokee and Volvo XC-90). We can also arrange car rental.
