Our classic Rilena 3-star restaurant offers traditional meals from Bulgarian and foreign cuisines as well as delicious home-made pastry. It has a capacity of 150 guests plus 50 seats outdoors and its own children's playground. The restaurant is the most popular place in Dupnitsa for celebrating marriages and other events as well as for cocktails and gala parties.
Area information
In the south-western part of Bulgaria the highest mountain of the Balkan Peninsula is situated. Its name Rila is of Slavonic origin and comes from the name Rula, which means "Water Mountain". The name perfectly matches the mountain's characteristics. There are more than 150 lakes and a great number of rivers and streams rising here. At the banks of one of them lies the town of Dupnitsa.
Dupnitsa is situated 500 meters above sea level, at the crossroads of the main international road E-79, which connects Bulgaria with Greece, the Adriatic, Istanbul and the road to the western European countries through Macedonia and Serbia. Dupnitsa has become the centre of the south-western part of Bulgaria.
