The hotel “Den Wolsack” is situated in a beautifulrenovated neoclassical building, in the very heart of Mechelen's city centre at the foot of St.-Rombouts Cathedral. You can rent one of our fully equipped meeting rooms for your meetings or seminars, with a capacity of 5 to 50 persons.
Audiovisual equipment is free of charge and includes: a projector, projection screen, whiteboard, flip-chart, high speed internet connection (analogue and digital), platform and telephone.
Several setups are possible: seminar setup, theatre setup or classroom setup.

Brasserie ‘t Oud Conservatorium offers a high-level bistro kitchen at democratic prices. The Chef's season suggestions and regional dishes will send you into culinary ecstasy. Breakfast, tasty snacks, quick and excellent business lunches as well as sumptuous dinners are served on a daily basis. In addition to his à la carte, the Chef includes new "the Chef's Suggestions" every other week.
The large Brasserie leads to the Veranda and the City Terrace.
The cosy City Terrace, with its wonderful fountain, is a real oasis of peace and the place "par excellence" to enjoy the Mechelen carillon concerts during the summer months.

The hotel has an attractive heated ‘Orangerie’. In addition to pleasant individual dinners, the Orangerie is also suitable for seminar lunches, banquets, receptions, parties,group meals or other special occasions.

The veranda is ideal to have a relaxing dinner in a small group or for receptions in a small group.

Mechelen is a monument-filled city situated at a comfortable distance of Antwerp and Brussels, two of Belgium's most important cultural and touristic cities. Obviously, its vicinity to the Mechelen Industrial Zones (Mechelen Noord and Mechelen Zuid) entails frequent visits from business travellers.

The "Mechelen - Nekkerspoel" railway station is the closest to the hotel (15 minutes at walking distance). Walking from the "Mechelen Centraal" station would take about 25 minutes, but you can also take the city bus.
Mechelen has a very punctual city bus network (De Lijn) as well as reliable taxi services.
