The house dates back to 1673; as it is the highest building in the street, it showed that the people who lived there were important. It has a very long history, with a wide variety of occupants. A doctor, 2 bishops, an owner of a brewery, a lace industrialist, a former colonial master and others once lived here. During the First World War, it is rumoured that the house was occupied for 2 years by a commander of a German U-boat.

At the B&B there is also a beautiful wine cellar. You can have a drink there, if you don’t mind the cool temperature of around 16° C.

In the morning you can enjoy a sumptuous breakfast. It is served at 08:30 in your room. If you want it served at another time, please inform the owners.
