De Wens Bron is a century-old renovated farmhouse situated in countryside surroundings 20 minutes’ drive from Hasselt in Limburg. This family-run guesthouse benefits from free Wi-Fi in the public areas.

The 3 rooms at this intimate bed and breakfast include a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Wens Bron also has 2 shared bathrooms with a shower.

Sint-Truiden, featuring the UNESCO World Heritage listed St. Agnes Beguinage and Town Hall, is a 20-minute drive away. Tongeren is 10 minutes away by car and has a famous antiques market.

The landscaped garden includes a tranquil pond and seating areas. Guests can enjoy free tea or coffee in the pub-style bar upon arrival which also serves drinks including Belgian beer inside and on the terrace.

De Wens Bron serves a delicious full English breakfast, prepared with fresh eggs from the owners’ chickens. A Continental breakfast is available if preferred.

Bicycle rental and a packed lunch service are available upon request. It is also possible to bring bicycles and securely store them on-site. There are many cycle routes and walking trails in the local area.

We offer a Full English Breakfast in the cost of the room, but we also offer the choice of a Continental Breakfast if preferred (without any additional charges).

Area information

We are located in the south of Limburg, a lovely region full of variation. Nearby there are charming little towns, authentic villages, enormous squared farmhouses, ruins of fortresses, sweet castles and deserted quarries of marl. All this is hidden between fruit plantations and vast fields. However, what really makes Haspengouw unique, are the people themselves. They are typically very hospitable, and welcome you into their community.

Belgium has more than 300 kms of designated cyclepaths which allow you to explore the local area without the danger of traffic, walkers too can enjoy these paths.

Very popular: Antique market in St Truiden (10kms away from us) on Saturday and also the Tongeren Antique market also 10 kms away from us on Sunday.
