Logement De Hertog van Baerle is a country style guest house, offering bed and breakfast in a homely manner. Relax in the sauna or spa bath and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

The twin bedded rooms all are provided with shower, wash-hand basin and toilet. They are well-kept and quiet.

When you have discovered the natural setting, you can relax in the (infra-red) sauna, spa bath or in the quiet garden.

Although De Hertog van Baerle does not have its own restaurant, cosy wine- tasting evenings are held regularly (on the weekends). Enjoy a glass by the fireplace and chat with the other guests.

You can also play a game of chess or petanque in the garden, where the bar is opened when weather is nice.

The logement is an ideal starting point for one of the walk and bicycle routes in the border region of Brabant De Kempen. The hotel will be happy to provide you with a bicycle.

De Hertog van Baerle is no restaurant, however, we organize dinners in a homely environment for maximum 8 persons. You will share the table with other guests. The menu will be composed by De Hertog van Baerle and will consist of at least 4 courses.

De Hertog van Baerle is excellent to start your cylce- or walking tours trough the beautiful area. You can leave your bike at home, we will provide you with one.
After you come back you can relax in our sauna and whirlpool. You can also play a game of chess or petanque in our garden, where we open our bar at good times.

Travel information coming from The Netherlands:

Take highway A-58. Take exit Ulvenhout/Chaam/Baarle-Nassau. Continue untill you arrive in the village of Baarle-Nassau. At the shop "Zeeman" turn right. At the end of the road to the right. After this take the second road to the left at the sign "Zondereigen". Follow the road for about 4,5 km. whan you enter the village "Zondereigen" you will see De Hertog van Baerle at your left side.

Travel information coming from Antwerp (A1 Hoogstraten):

From Hoogstraten take the N 124 from Wortel to Merksplas. From Merksplas you follow the road (N123) to Weelde. After aprox. 8 km turn left at the sign "Zondereigen". At the church, go straight ahead en follow the road. De Hertog van Baerle is the last building at your rigght side.


travel Information coming from Antwerp (A21 Turnhout):
Take exit 23 and follow the road (N140) to the centre of Turnhout. At the end turn left at the trafficlights, towards Merksplas. Turn left in the direction of Merksplas, this road is called "Steenweg". After 1,5 Km turn left. This road is called "Koekhoven". At the end cros the road and follow the way ("Verbindingsstraat") At the end turn right. At tthe church go straight ahead. De Hertog van Baerle is the last building at your right side.
