Hostellerie Petrus

Hostellerie Petrus is surrounded by tranquil polder landscape, only 10 minutes’ by car from Veurne. It features free Wi-Fi, a games room and a garden with a terrace and barbecue.

All of the rooms at Petrus are simply furnished and have cable TV, a minibar and a seating area. Some of the rooms have original features including beamed ceilings.

The North Sea beach and Plopsaland are 15 minutes’ drive from the hotel. The centre of Brugge, featuring the Groenigemuseum, is 40 minutes away by car. The French border is 10 km away.

Guests can enjoy French and Belgian cuisine with fish specialities at the Petrus restaurant. The daily Continental breakfast is served on the terrace which features a pond.

The local area is suitable for cycling and hiking. Petrus Hostellerie has a bicycle rental and packed lunch service. There is free public parking available on site and a storage shed for bicycles is also available.

Our hotel "Hostellerie Petrus"is situated at just 10 minutes of walk from the village Alveringem, with some interesting museums but also some public houses around the picturesque church. A very quiet hotel in a green oasis, boarding fields and pastures.

Your room will be quickly yours after a warm welcome at the reception.You can have your apero, coffee or thee in the saloon, with open fire, and after this, dinner is served in the restaurant Petrus.
We serve a rich breakfast in our planted Patio with tropical aquarria and little pond.

If you would like to bring along your bicycles we can offer you a special place "The Chalet velo" to store them for free. There is also a possibility to hire some bikes by the local repair man in the village.

Hotel Petrus places 14 nicely furnished rooms at your disposal among which 2 family rooms with adjoining room.

We offer you very nice and comfortable rooms with bathroom, WC, Cable TV, radio, sitting area, mini bar and some rooms are equipped with a private safe. Four rooms are located on the ground floor and are very easy to get to from the parking without stairs. The access from the room to the patio and restaurant is also step free. One of these rooms has been especially equipped for our disabled customers.

The Restaurant Petrus has 60 comfortable seats.
We are specialized in several fish from North sea, meat and eel specialities based on French-Belgian kitchen.

You can choose different menus or "à la carte"
A special menu with four courses is served in the evening to the customers who stay in Half-board formula.

Hotel Petrus , situated in the most Westly corner of Belgium offers you several possibilities of amusement in the country.
Several museums in the area are to visit.
Two amusement park : Plopsaland and Bellewaerde are in the neighbourhood at just about 45 minutes.

You can find different historical buildings in Veurne, Diksmuide, Oostende, Brugge, Leper at just 15 to 60 min.of the hotel and very nice cities to visit.
The Belgian North-sea coast is close and reachable in just 15 minutes.
You'll find the French border at 7 miles from the hotel .

The most easy way to find Hotel Petrus:

1) Are you coming from Dover to Calais (France) : just folow A16 to
Belgium. Once in Belgium take the second exit (Veurne), turn right to Ieper and at the second trafic light you turn left to Alveringem en follow the yellow signs to Hotellerie Petrus

2) Are you coming from Ostend: follow direction Nieuwpoort , Veurne and Ieper. You will find the signs to Alveringem at the second trafic lights on N8 and follow the signs to Hostellerie Petrus

3) From E40: exit Veurne, turn left to Ieper, at the second traffic lights turn and continue as above

4') From E17: Exit Wevelgem, drive to Ieper by A 17en follow Veurne.
On N8 you'll find the signs to Alveringem and follow Hostellerie Petrus
