Hotel Regina

The main building of the Kremslehner Hotels was established in 1877 as a city palace of the Viennese Historicism. The Hotel Regina is family-run and celebrated its 100th anniversary as a hotel in 1996.

The Hotel Regina is centrally located in the university quarter, next to the Votive Church. Vienna's famous sights and shopping streets are within a short walking distance and can be reach very easily. A public underground garage with special rates for our guests and the subway are close by..

The Hotel Regina is the main house of the Kremslehner Hotel Group, of which the Hotel Royal and the Graben Hotel are also part. It was built in the years 1876 and 1877 according to the plans of the architects Emil Ritter von Förster and Theodor Reuter under the auspices of the principal Johann Angerer in the style of Viennese Historicism. It represents an important palace in the ensemble of buildings surrounding the Votive Church on the grounds of the former "Glacis". The building is mentioned under the name of "Angererpalais" in all important books about the construction of the Viennese Ringstraße.

Our vast Deluxe rooms have recently been renovated according to the latest technical standards. The stately, baroque Style-furniture reflects the Viennese tradition of the Kremslehner Hotels.

The restaurant Roth focuses on Viennese and Austrian specialities. Besides the daily menu, which includes seasonal dishes, there is also high value set on typical „Old Viennese“ specialities. In the restaurant the bar offers a variety of open wines, many excellent cocktails, as well as different kinds of draft beer. In summertime you can enjoy our shady garden under the arcades. By car: Westautobahn (Western highway - Linz, Salzburg, Munich):
- Coming from the Westautobahn follow the signs to the centre, always straight on, and along the Schönbrunnerstrasse.
- Turn left into Heumühlgasse, and right into Rechte Wienzeile and follow until Karlsplatz.
- In front of the Opera House turn left into the Ring, until the Townhall.
- Turn left into Grillparzerstrasse and take the second turn into Ebendorferstrasse.
- Follow this street until you reach the traffic light, cross the junction and drive straight on to the Rooseveltplatz.
- Follow this street around the church and you will see the Hotel Regina right in front of you.

Südautobahn (Southern highway - Graz, Klagenfurt):
- Coming from the Südautobahn you follow the signs to the centre.
- Go along Schüttelstrasse, at the junction Obere Donaustrasse-Rembrandtstrasse turn left and cross the bridge.
- Follow this street (Hörlgasse) until you reach the junction with the Währingerstraße.
- Go straight ahead and when you pass the Votiv Church, turn right into the Universitätsstraße.
- Take the next possible right turn and follow the street Rooseveltplatz around the church.
- You will see the Hotel Regina right in front of you.
