Take a stroll to the Hauptallee, the main street of the famous viennese prater which has its starting point at the back of the property. Visit the Messe Wien, Vienna Fair Ground, which can be reached within 5 minutes by tram Number 21 or within 10 minutes walking distance.

Vienna`s appearance is manifold from the historic city centre with its magnificent buildings from many different centuries, to the former villages outside the once-standing city ramparts, to the green hills of the Vienna Woods.

Very close to the city centre there is the Prater, an natural park that covers more than 5 square kilometers and was an imperial hunting ground until 1766.

Today the Prater has lakes from old tributaries of the Danube, meadows, grand boulevards lined with chestnut trees and the fun park with its merry-go-rounds and rollercoasters. However, the sights of Vienna are not the only reason for paying a visit.

A window-shopping stroll through the downtown pedestrian zone of the historic city centre, going to a musical or concert, or spending a cosy evening at the "Heuriger" (wine tasting taverne) - all these are only some examples for the many possibilities that Vienna offers to its visitors.

Along the streets leading to the Prater there once were inns where the coachmen could take a rest with their horses. A modern hotel business has emerged from such inns with its old arched vaults intact.

There is a limited number of parking places at the hotel and upon availability.

Hotel Cristall is a short walking distance from the famous Hundertwasserhaus and St. Stephan's Cathedral. The Prater, a vast recreation and amusement park, is practically in front of the hotel.

The hotel is located at less than 15 minutes walking distance from St. Stephans Cathedral and the Praterstern is only a few metres away with its underground stations and suburban rail lines. The Prater is located within 5 minutes walking distance - a paradise for nature lovers, cyclists and joggers.

When you arrive by car, the hotel can be easily reached taking the highway exit "Prater Zentrum". The Hotel Cristall offers a private parking lot, free of charge, but upon availability.

- From the APT Vienna: S7 (suburban rail) to Praterstern (40 minutes) or private hotel shuttle service (surcharge, prereservation necessary).

- From the North Railwaystation: 3 minutes walking distance.

- From the South Railwaystation: underground nr. 1 to Praterstern (15 minutes).

- From the West Railwaystation: tram nr. 5 to Praterstern (30 minutes) or underground nr. 3 to Stephansplatz, afterwards underground nr. 1 to Praterstern (20 minutes).

- From the city centre: 12 minutes walking distance or underground nr. 1 to Praterstern (4 minutes).

- From the Austria Center/Vienna International Center: underground nr. 1 to Praterstern (6 minutes).

- From the Wien Messe (exhibition centre) or Kongresszentrum (congress centre): 10 minutes walking distance or tram 21 (5 minutes).
