This country hotel is nestled at the foot of stunning hills, and yet is just a short walk from the centre of Reutte.

Awake each morning to stunning views of the mountain before lounging on the sun terrace, relaxing in the pool or exploring the extensive gardens. Your children can be kept entertained at the play area.

The famous castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau are 20 km from the hotel.

Sauna and massage area: The sauna in the basement of the hotel is a five-person sauna that can be used at any time by all guests. A relaxation area and shower/WC are also available. There is a charge of EUR 5,00 per person.

The rooms in Hotel Tannenhof are all something a little bit special and offer hotel guests an unforgettable view of the local mountain scenery

Twelve of the rooms have been freshly decorated in a light and friendly wood and furnished with balconies. Some of them have been decorated with Apple Green under the principles of Feng Shui.

The older dozen rooms are decorated in a traditional Tyrolean style and most of them boast large balconies. The comfortable atmosphere has been enhanced by the fresh and welcoming colour schemes chosen by Frau Foidl. Our attic rooms allow guests to awake to the first rays of the sun and go to sleep under starlight.

Breakfast is served from 07.30 to 10.00 in the light non-smoking room with terrace.
Sample the varied buffet with fresh rolls and wholemeal bread from the village bakery; freshly-cooked eggs - either fried or scrambled; different kinds of cheese or sausages,; juices for that morning burst of energy; a small tea bar with a selection of herbal teas; and muesli-corner with yoghurt and different sorts of jam.

Chef Nikolaus Foidl and his team cook for our guests twice a day - midday between 11.30 and 14.00 and in the evening from 18.00 to 21.00.

The menu in the Tannenhof offers hearty local and international dishes, which reflect the specialities of the seasons of the year.

The special tips which make the difference to a holiday (for example, which play is appearing locally or which brass band has an open-air concert nearby or where the most beautiful clumps of gentians can be seen) are best learnt from locals.

One of the best ways to do that is to chat over a cool glass of beer in the hotel bar. It's a meeting place for Sunday morning chats and for holiday relaxation.

Reutte - a gateway to Austria on the border with Germany. Base yourself in Reutte for excursions into the surrounding mountains of the Tyrol. Or for exploring the rich history of the area - Neuschwanstein Castle and the ruins of Ehrenberg are just two of the local attractions.

The Reutte Holiday Region offers a small but demanding ski area in the Hahnenkamm. (Not to be confused with its more famous brother on the other side of the Tyrol in Kitzbuehel!).The Reutte skilift company are expanding and improve their facilities every year. The new snow cannons, the 4-person chair and a programme of events are the latest additions. An expansion of the ski runs is planned for the forthcoming winter.

Away from the cleared roads and the trodden-down footpaths, the cross country trails around the hotel are the doorway to a magical world of white at the foot of the mountains of the Tyrol. Direct from the front door, two trails lead away from the hotel like rails into the deep and snowy meadows...

Drive in the direction of the Tannheimertal from Reutte, over the bridge to Lechaschau. From there turn right on a small road in the direction of Hinterbichl. The hotel is located at the end of a driveway and signposted off to the left of the road.
