The Almgasthof Fichtenheim is a child- and family-friendly holiday hotel on the Emberger Alm mountain pasture, located at 1,800 metres above sea level high above Carinthia’s Drau Valley.

You have come to the right place for hiking, hang-gliding, paragliding, and mountain biking, but also if you just want to relax and unwind, or if you are an amateur astronomer. Our setting also provides ideal conditions for allergy-sufferers. We offer our guests a free shuttle service to and from various places, such as the train station at Greifenburg, the hang-gliding and paragliding landing strips, and several starting point for hikes. The Almgasthof also features a 120 m² sauna landscape.

Area information

The Emberger Alm mountain pasture is a well-known hiking paradise and is also ideally suited for hiking with children. You are already at an altitude of 1,800 metres above sea level, and you can reach wonderful hiking destinations within a few hours, also with your children. You will receive hiking information, such as route descriptions, weather reports and weather maps, locally.

Cancellation Policy:   Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years are charged EUR 7.00 per night and person for cots.
All children from 4 to 10 years are charged 50 % of the room stay per night for extra beds.
All children from 10 to 12 years are charged 70 % of the room stay per night for extra beds.
All children from 12 to 14 years are charged 80 % of the room stay per night for extra beds.
There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
