The resort has 30 well-appointed cottages, each named after a Malayalam astrological sign. The trees planted around each cottage have been carefully selected according to astrological tenets. Each cottage has been uniquely and individually designed. The cottages have a style and décor that represents a harmonising of Kerala’s typical, traditional architecture with complete adherence to the dictates of Vastu. The cottages use locally available raw materials like black granite, clay and country-made bricks.

The restaurant serves healthy, wholesome food from a variety of different cuisines. A qualified dietician helps guests to choose the right kind of food, taking into account their ailments or dietary requirements. All items are made from organic vegetables grown in Kairali's own garden. The restaurant’s approach leads to a whole new dimension in the enhancement of health and the joy of eating.

NELLIYAMPATHY

A small town perched high on the Western Ghats, Nelliyampathy stands 1572 m above sea level at its highest point. Breathtakingly beautiful, Nelliyampathy is a place for all seasons. SILENT VALLEY

The only remaining stretch of tropical evergreen forest in India, Silent Valley National Park is spread over an area of 90 sq.km. The famed ‘silence’ of this valley is due to the absence of the Cicadas ( chirping insects ) which are usually found in abundance in wooded areas. The crystal clear ‘Kunti’ river flows through this magical land. The Silent Valley teems with flora and fauna of a mind-boggling variety. Situated 80 km from Palakkad , Silent Valley is well connected by roads.

PARAMBIKULAM WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

Spread over 285 km, Parambikulam has a large population of Bison, Spotted deer, Leopards, sloth bear, and tigers. The largest teak tree in Asia, the ‘ Kannimaram‘ teak is found in Parambikulam. Parambikulam is 110 km away from Palakkad. Entry into the forest is allowed only with prior permission.


TIPU'S FORT

Built by Hyder Ali in the year 1766, this fort is now popularly known as Tipu’s Fort. Tipu Sulthan did hold the fort for some time, but it has changed hands many times. The Zamorins, Tipu Sulthan, and finally the British occupied the fort. The fort is a popular landmark and is very well preserved. A large moat surrounds the fort. A unique thing about the fort is that it houses a Hanuman temple within its walls.
