- White Pagoda Temple, built by Kublai Khan in 1096, is the sister pagoda to the one in Winter Palace / Bei Hai Park, standing over 50 metres tall. Small bells decorate the roof to scare away evil spirits, just a little piece of Tibet in Beijing.
- Lu Xun is regarded as the founder of modern Chinese literature and his former residence is located in the Hutong within close proximity to the White Pagoda Temple. His home displays over 20,000 works of literature and scrolls.
