Our residence is only a few minutes from the Lord Charles Hotel conference centre. We are within easy reach of Cape Town, Table Mountain and the Waterfront. A pleasant day trip takes you around the Peninsula via Muizenberg and Simonstown with its Boulders Beach, famous for penguins, Cape Point, also known as the Cape of Good Hope, past Kommetjie, Noordhoek and along Chapman's Peak. Drive to Hout Bay, with its well-known seafood restaurant, Llandudno, Constantia and Sea Point. The Strand beach, Gordon's Bay and Somerset Mall are nearby, as well as a variety of top class restaurants.

By Car:
From Cape Town international airport:
- Turn left onto the N2 freeway to Somerset West.
- After approximately 20 km, take the R44 turn-off to Stellenbosch, not the R310 to Stellenbosch.
- Follow the R44 to Stellenbosch, and pass one set of traffic lights with the Main Road and underneath a fly-over bridge.
- Take the 1st turn-off left towards Helderberg Village, approximately 2 km after the Main Road traffic lights.
- Turn immediately left again up to the T-junction and turn left over the same fly-over bridge: the Steynsrust Bridge into Irene Avenue.
- Follow this road past the roundabout and take the 2nd turn left into Harewood Avenue.
- Follow this road to the T-junction and turn left into Companje Drive.
- Follow this road up the hill and take the 2nd right into Waveren Avenue.
- Huis Waveren is the 3rd house on the right-hand side; number 8 is written on the white garden wall.

From Stellenbosch:
- Turn left at Helderberg Estate, approximately 15 km from Stellenbosch, to the roundabout.
- Turn left into Irene Avenue.
- Then follow the instructions above.

Please note, when booking the self-catering unit breakfast is not included, but can be requested at ZAR 40 per person.
