Ocean View Lodge

In the heart of the world famous Garden Route, this lodge is 58 km from the airport in George and only 14 minutes drive from the charming town of Knysna.

Ocean View Lodge is a small country hotel owned by the same family since 1989. It is situated on 21 acres of a wonderful area on a unique narrow peninsula, and surrounded by the azure waters of the Knysna Lagoon and the gentle Indian Ocean.

Our grounds have unique Southern Cape Fynbos and many kinds of Proteas. These include King Protea, Ericas, Bitou, Buchu, Watsonias Camphor Bush, George Lily, Fire Lily, local Aloas, Fountain Bush, Keurboom Bush and many others.

Ocean View Lodge offers 8 en suite rooms, all with spectacular views of the warm Indian Ocean. Some bedrooms have double beds and some have twin beds.

Our restaurant only serves full English breakfast.

For dinner, a number of restaurants can be found in Brenton as well as in the centre.

Take a relaxing stroll on nearby Brenton-On-Sea Beach and walk all the way to Buffalo Bay. As you hike along Knysna Lagoon towards Featherbed Nature Reserve, you can watch whales frolic in the Indian Ocean.
If you wish, you can also take a scenic drive along the Garden Route. Visit Oudtshoorn or the beautiful Cango Caves. Boat rides can be enjoyed both on the lagoon and to the Knysna Heads. Other activities in the area include golfing, diving or seeing South Africa’s Big 5 during a safari.

By Car (from Cape Town or George):
- Turn from the N2 to Brenton-On-Sea just before Knysna Lagoon and White Bridge.
- Follow the road for 7 km.
- Our gate is on the left side (there is a large Spanish-style brick gate) with a sign reading ‘Ocean View Lodge’.
