Our lodge is beautifully situated close to the waters’ edge and beautiful beach, overlooking the sea and working harbour with unforgettable panoramic mountain views.

Take advantage of the area’s activities such as diving, horse riding and fishing, or simply visit the harbour and buy a fish off one of the locals and claim it as your own.

All of the 4 and 5-star luxury rooms are en suite, with nearly all including baths and showers. In keeping with the idea of rejuvenation, we provide not only privacy and relaxation, but a fully-equipped beauty salon where your host will pamper you with a selection of beauty therapies and massage treatments. The other option is to take a soothing and relaxing swim in our large saltwater pool to loosen the muscles after a day of exploring.

All of the 9 rooms are en suite and tastefully decorated for style and comfort, incorporating wall-to-wall carpeting. The rooms include a bath and shower with 4 of the rooms containing Victorian baths. Amenities are available in every room, as well as an honesty bar located on the guest floor. Nearly all of the rooms are sea-facing.

2 Self Catering rooms are also available.

A hot and cold breakfast is served in the morning as well as a continental breakfast in the 5-star section. An honesty bar is available with a selection of refreshments, wine, beer and spirits.

We are 15 minutes from Cape Town, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch and Constantia Wineries.

There is plenty of year-round activity in our working harbour where fishing boats land their seasonal catches on the quayside. Snoek, crayfish, tuna and many others are often sold to bystanders at reasonable prices. The marina offers trips to Duiker Island to view seals and seabirds, deep-sea fishing charters, diving expeditions and sunset cruises are also on offer. When tired of all the sightseeing and hunger takes over, pay a visit to the famous Mariner's Wharf restaurant or Fish on the Rocks for your favourite fish takeaway.

Hout Bay Beach is a large family beach that stretches from one side of Hout Bay to the other. When the whales are around in season, they can be easily spotted from the beach.

Opened in 1922, Chapman's Peak Drive is one of the most spectacular scenic drives in Africa. It took 7 years to complete. There are numerous picnic spots and viewing points along its route. Watch the whales as they come to investigate the bay or the fishing boats that are returning with their catch of the day.

By Car:
- From the N2 highway, go straight on towards Cape Town.
- Take the Kirstenbosch/Muizenburg M3 highway exit which will be on your left-hand side.
- Go down the M3 highway and turn right at the traffic lights for Kirstenbosch/Hout Bay.
- Follow the road and turn right towards Hout Bay at the T-Junction.
- Travel straight down this road through the forest and then turn right at the roundabout at the top of Constantia.
- Follow the road towards Hout Bay.
- Head straight on at the 1st roundabout and at the 2nd one you come to you, turn right towards the harbour.
- Go straight down this road and turn left towards the harbour at the next roundabout.
- We are on the right-hand side approximately 130 metres further up the road, from Mariners Wharf restaurant which will be on your left.
